I want to thank Dorothy Johnson-Speight and Mother's In Charge for inviting my husband and me to the dinner and panel in South Philly last night. I had previously contacted Commissioner Ramsey and Councilwoman Blackwell to attend the Gala. The foundation will be hosting its' first fundraiser on Saturday, September 24, 2011. We will be hosting a formal event at the Enterprise Center, historical site of Dick Clark's American Bandstand. There will also be a drawing for some amazing prizes. We are looking to raise $50,000. over the next year to implement renovations for the group home which is located in the University City area. We have created the charity and we are now in the process of creating the web page. Our family is so excited to try to save children in Charles' memory. While our loss is great and our grief still overwhelming to help another gives us the strength we need to continue on this journey of recovery. Charles will never be forgotten. He is imbedded in our hearts forever.
